We are seeking a Junior Account Manager to join our dynamic Team. This position is a great opportunity for a Junior Manager with a track record of effective workload management and communication.
You will be responsible for proactively managing and selling group travel to inherited smaller coach and tour operator clients, to regularly call prospects and explore new business opportunities to exceed an agreed target.
Working as part of a team, you’ll need to demonstrate the ability to contribute to a team environment as well as using your own initiative to manage your own workload.
You must be organised, provide a 1st class customer service and handle multiple and simultaneous priorities from a range of stakeholders and maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity.

Some of your responsibilities will include: Responsible for nurturing and growing existing accounts as well as seeking out new client opportunities; providing regular product feedback to develop existing and creative new product ideas with the marketing team; ensuring that Albatross Travel delivers an excellent level of customer service throughout, from sales stage through to tour realisation; attending and promoting Albatross Travel and The Albatross Group as a whole at applicable trade shows/events in the UK; accompanying clients on product specific familiarisation trips/events to develop sales and promote client loyalty; attending a Marketing Forum, once a year, joining the regular team members to ensure Albatross Travel’s marketing is current and fit for purpose from our client’s perspective; researching and sourcing new prospects and business opportunities through trade press and all other media, including Albatross Travel’s own database; dealing with any customer care issues for designated accounts including out bookings and/or complaints as appropriate; updating and maintaining client database details as and when required; producing regular reports and statistics in line with agreed reporting procedures as laid out by the B2B MD; exceeding mutually agreed annual sales and GTP targets; developing product knowledge by attending hosted and staff familiarisation trips and product buying trips; covering the Albatross Travel emergency phone for a minimum of 3 weeks per year; ensuring all supplier offers are negotiated effectively meeting the “behave with respect and integrity towards all of our stakeholders” Group value.

This is a full time permanent contract, office based, working Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm in Larkfield.
